Trinity Church – Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne

Trinity Church is at the heart of the Trinity Centre, a £3.25 million development on the High Street in Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne. It was formed by the amalgamation of three congregations on the High Street with the aim of providing an active, outward-looking Christian base for the area and includes community facilities and café as well as modern worship space.

T Manners & Sons Ltd was appointed as the main contractor for the £3 million development, which included the creation of a new Welcome Centre and a new Amenity Hall as well as the total refurbishment of the existing Listed Church building. Over a period of 20 months our joinery division created many bespoke items to contribute to the renovation of this prestige refurbishment. Internal works to the existing building included the refurbishment of the Minstrel’s Gallery and involved our craftsmen in creating many items from our range of heritage joinery, including sections of the intricate fretwork that were required to match in to the existing, aged oak timber-work.
